Following rumours that the Sirius building may be sold to the developer of the Opal Tower, I joined Lord Mayor Clover Moore, Jamie Parker MP and the Save Our Sirius campaign to urge the Premier to retain this structurally sound, purpose built, iconic building: HERE

At a time of escalating homelessness, eroded inner city housing affordability, and a social housing waiting list of 60,000 families, the Sirius is publicly owned and ready to house people who are homeless, key workers and social housing tenants now. It would be a disastrous outcome if the building is demolished and replaced with another apartment building that has defects.
