South Sea Islander Recognition

South Sea Islander Recognition

The Australian National Maritime Museum will raise the Australian South Sea Islander flag on Wednesday 25 August as a reminder of the Australian history of blackbirding (slavery) and ongoing impacts for the descendants of indentured labourers brought from Pacific Island countries. I worked with the local group to get recognition in the NSW Parliament. Information > http://www.assipj.com.au

Let's work together to celebrate and protect our great city!
