The SCG wants to add more land to the development boundary of its new stadium for another building to accommodate its members’ facilities including pool and gym. While I am glad these facilities will be retained within the Sydney Cricket Ground, the proposal moves built form closer to Moore Park. Views and outlooks from the park will already be dominated by the big and bulky stadium and this new proposed building would add even more building form to those views, creating cumulative impacts. It does not appear that other locations on the site have been considered and I asked the government to require additional work to find a site away from the parklands. My submission: HERE.
