Sydney’s tough lockout laws are being eased up for New Years Eve this year – people will be able to enter their favourite bars and clubs up until 3am, when alcohol service must cease...

...Independent Member for Sydney Alex Greenwich has been a prominent critic of the controversial lockout laws, which were introduced on Mardi Gras weekend this year. He’s welcomed the NSW Government’s announcement about New Years Eve, and has asked the government to apply to same consideration to next year’s Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.
