Thank You Nurses

Thank You Nurses

In Parliament my Independent colleague Greg Piper and I acknowledged the nurses working to save lives and help people recover on International Nurses Day.

Sydney has a strong connection to Florence Nightingale who sent Lucy Osburn to Sydney in 1868 to set up nursing training, bringing modern hygiene and nursing ideas based on evidence and data. Read about Nightingale’s contribution to nursing and statistics: HERE.

Elinor Wrobel manages the Lucy Osburn-Nightingale Museum’s amazing collection of medical equipment, records, implements and ‘morbid pathology’ at Sydney Hospital. I encourage you to visit when restrictions are lifted: HERE

Let's work together to celebrate and protect our great city!
