On behalf of the Sydney electorate I would like to recognise ACON's excellent online resource TransHub, developed by Teddy Cook, Liz Duck-Chong and the ACON Trans Health Equity team.

TransHub is an affirming resource for trans people of all genders and anyone who wants to understand trans people, their identities, needs and concerns. This includes a section about the basics – explaining terms and concepts, and answers to common questions like pronouns, hormones and surgery. It makes clear that 'trans' simply describes people whose gender differs from what was presumed for them at birth, and includes genders like woman and man, as well as non-binary, genderqueer, genderfluid, a First Nations Sistergirl or Brotherboy, and more. There's also legal, medical and health information and 'Trans Vitality', a resilience building toolkit for trans people. Importantly TransHub includes a useful guide for allies and supporters to help us understand and affirm who they are, to support and stand up for trans people at home, school, at work, in personal relationships, in public places and in all of life. Congratulations to ACON and TransHub for this valuable resource for trans communities in NSW.
