Transport for Pyrmont

Transport for Pyrmont

I support the Pyrmont Peninsula Public Transport Forum campaign for better public transport between the peninsula and the CBD. I’ve repeatedly asked the transport minister to add 389 bus stops in the CBD, consider bus services to Broadway shopping centre and include Pirrama Park in the F10 ferry route, with letters, questions in Parliament and a personal meeting. My submissions on Pyrmont planning called for additional transport to meet community need.

The government changed the 389 bus route in December 2021 without local consultation, removing bus stops between Allen Street Pyrmont and Park Street and reducing access to the western and central CBD. Trial ferry on demand services were not followed up and Pyrmont was not included when the F10 ferry between Barangaroo and Blackwattle Bay (Glebe) was reinstated after Inner West light rail services stopped due to problems with the light rail vehicles.

The minister’s responses have claimed a bus stop is not possible and deferred any new transport options until the new fish Market is open and the Metro line and station at Pyrmont are operating. Together with Lord Mayor Clover Moore I’ve asked him to meet with a delegation of residents to hear directly about their transport needs > HERE

Let's work together to celebrate and protect our great city!
