Many older residents will remember John Mant’s lifelong commitment to public service, social justice, democracy and good government, including as ICAC Commissioner, reviewing the NSW Department of Housing, reworking the Local Government Act to empower councils, and as City of Sydney councillor with the Clover Moore Independent Team between 2012 and 2016.
