It's important to stay at home, but there are still ways you can get involved, stay connected and help those in need during COVID-19.

NSW Government has partnered with the Centre for Volunteering for a new online volunteering platform for COVID-19 to link individuals willing to volunteer their time, with charities, NGO’s and councils in need of support, to register and for more information go to emergency.volunteer.org.au/

#ViraKindness is a hub for the community care groups to support people in need or in self-isolation during COVID-19 crisis. Whether shopping for food, picking up medicine or a regular check in call, there are lots of ways we can support each other. You can find or create a group at viralkindness.org.au/

Crisis Heroes is a free community platform enabling the sharing of services and resources to ensure no one is left stranded during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, www.crisisheroes.com

Meals on Wheels continues to provide meals to isolated and vulnerable people. For volunteer opportunities or if you know someone who could benefit go to, nswmealsonwheels.org.au/

Holdsworth Community Centre in Woollahra is keeping a list of volunteers to call on. You will need a police check information at holdsworth.org.au/volunteering/.

Foster or Adopt a Pet

Foster or adopt a pet and help rescue groups during COVID-19. Pets are a great way to cope with social isolation; providing companionship, exercise and entertainment.
