Weave Community Hub

Weave Community Hub

(Community Recognition Notices, 17 November, Legislative Assembly, NSW Parliament)

On behalf of the Sydney Electorate, I congratulate Weave Community Hub in Woolloomooloo for their commitment and enthusiasm for supporting young people and their families in Woolloomooloo, Kings Cross and Darlinghurst.

In 2022 Weave Community Hub focussed their service on providing casework support for young people aged 12 to 24 and families with children under 12 years. The space has been transformed into a welcoming, engaging environment where young people can safely socialise and participate in a range of fun activities under the guidance of the Weave staff.

I have been impressed by the range of events, creative projects and programs Weave have offered this year. Under the guidance of Program Manager Kat Berdoukas, the amazing team at Weave have worked to develop connections with local young people through which targeted early intervention support is made possible. Kids are encouraged to learn new skills and their diverse interests are fostered through tailored and ever-evolving programs.

My constituents have told me that Weave is a champion for the young people of the area. I am proud to have Weave Community Hub in my electorate and commend their work to support and inspire our local youth.

Let's work together to celebrate and protect our great city!
