The Independent Planning Commission has approved Sydney Grammar’s proposal for its Weigall Sports Complex development, with some conditions, including changes to the car park design, limiting construction hours to minimise noise impact on residents and requiring construction traffic to use Neild Avenue wherever possible.

There will also be conditions allowing access to the sports facility for local residents and the school will be required to consider how the Paddington Greenway along Rushcutters Creek might be possible.

While not addressing all residents’ concerns, these conditions should reduce some impacts on the local community and show the value of active engagement getting a better outcome. My final joint submission with Clr Harriet Price > HERE.
