Western Distributor

Western Distributor

Pyrmont’s vibrant village character is at risk from plans to expand road space around the Western Distributor to funnel more fast-moving traffic through the area. It is well known that new traffic lanes quickly fill up and become congested again. The only sustainable traffic and transport planning is to give pedestrians and public transport priority. The ‘Western Distributor Road Network Improvements’ project represents more 1950s road planning, with 71 trees to be cut down and pedestrian signals and zebra crossings removed. I have written to the minister to oppose the project and asked for further work to address traffic concerns in Pyrmont in line with the City of Sydney submission > HERE.

My letter > HERE.

Let's work together to celebrate and protect our great city!
