Western Harbour Super Precinct

Western Harbour Super Precinct

Alarming media reports about 20 storey towers in Pyrmont and Glebe Island for a ‘Western Harbour Super Precinct’ do not appear to show that development decisions will include a voice for future residents, workers and entrepreneurs and there has been no talk of the vital need for housing, education and health facilities and services. See the Herald article HERE.

This project is centered on the inner city and my electorate, but residents and local representatives have not been included in discussions yet and it is unclear how previous work on the Bays Precinct plans which engaged the community will be used.

We need more than just high rises around our harbour and I’ve asked for a briefing on the proposals, and for an open public process that includes residents.

Let's work together to celebrate and protect our great city!
