The unlikely duo of Gretel Killeen and Polly Petrie will join together to play hosts at a new Mardi Gras fundraising event – the Lip Sync Duel.

Lip Sync Duel will see prominent members of the LGBTI community compete in a mega lip sync battle as they vie for a Mardi Gras Fundraising pack worth $4000. Each performer will be competing on behalf of an LGBTQI organisation in an effort to win the kudos and cash.

Confirmed contestants include Alex Greenwich MP, Prof. Kerryn Phelps, 2dayFM newsreader Geoff Field, community stalwarts Sen Raj and Lawrence Stark, plus Mardi Gras Co-chairs Fran Bowron and Paul Savage performing as a duo. Also confirmed is Ox Gold breakfast presenter and Mardi Gras Board member James Breko Brechney, and the wonderful Shelly Silberman is coming out of retirement for the night, with more contestants to be announced soon.
