I know many of you are worried about the shocking finding that some mulch used in gardens across Sydney are contaminated with asbestos. The situation is changing rapidly as more testing is done > HERE.

A taskforce has been set up to address the immediate concern and I have asked the environment minister for action to prevent further contamination in the future. Asbestos should be handled by accredited contractors. We need to find out who is responsible for this contamination and hold them accountable.
