The government extended the exhibition period for the revised concept plan for Central Barangaroo in response to a joint letter from Lord Mayor Clover Moore and me. Submissions are now due by 21 February and I encourage everyone to review the changes and provide comment. While the plans have improved since the last exhibition with loss of the appalling tower and removal of development overhang onto public space, the proposal is too big and bulky, blocking historic connections between heritage Millers Point and the water, potentially impacting views from the observatory, and encroaching on Hickson Park.
