Children’s Internation Street Library Project

Children’s Internation Street Library Project

The Children’s International Street Library Project is a community activation run by City North Men’s Shed with support from Placemaking NSW which celebrates the linguistic diversity and community connections at Darling Harbour this April and May. 20 flat pack models of Street Library Australia’s original Street Library model, The Shed, have been assembled, decorated and filled with children’s books in 20 different languages to reflect various language groups represented in this diverse community.

The project also spotlights the importance of meaningful projects in supporting mental health and combating loneliness and social isolation.

I will be officially launching the project on Friday 5 April at 10am at the Pier Street Underpass.

Let's work together to celebrate and protect our great city!
