I regularly receive complaints about illegal commercial posters, but the government has not responded to requests for better regulation.

Councils can take action when posters become litter, and spend large amounts of money removing illegal commercial posters from poles and posts, but the legislation only allows fines for the person posting, not the companies that print and distribute the posters.
