I welcome plans for a new $60 million public high school on the current site of the Cleveland Street Intensive English High School, close to transport and open green space at Prince Alfred Park. This is a great win for the inner city community. From my very first question in parliament, I have worked to get the government’s commitment for a high school.
Current high schools are nearly full already, so we need this school before 2020. This vital facility should not be dependent on the sale of electricity poles and wires. I will work to ensure that Paddington and Woollahra students will be able to attend the school and that there is an appropriate site for the intensive English school. My statement is HERE
