Mr Alex Greenwich to move —

That this House:

1. Notes that on Tuesday 19 March 2013, the member for Sydney hosted a Police and community forum attended by Mardi Gras, Acon, New South Wales Gay and Lesbian Rights Lobby, Inner city legal centre, NSW Police, the Member for Coogee and over 300 members of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) community.
2. Notes the community expressed concern about some policing practices during the Mardi Gras Festival 2013.
3. Acknowledges the commitment of the Police Commissioner, Minister for Police, Surry Hills Local Area Command, LGBTI community and all organisations represented at the forum to resolve the concerns.
