NSW has had 25 reported cases of meningococcal disease this year. Meningococcal disease is a rare bacterial infection which can progress rapidly. Symptoms are similar to Flu and COVID-19 and include high fever, vomiting, nausea, cold hands joint pain, sensitivity to light and pale blotchy skin or rash.
