The resignation of Barry O’Farrell highlights the need for improved transparency of contact between government decision makers, lobbyists and those with vested interests, and for tighter donation laws. I’ve called for stronger rules for lobbyists and closing the loophole that allows corporations to donate to political parties without declaring the donation.
