I’ve long supported the national campaign to raise the age of criminal responsibility to 14 years. In NSW, children as young as 10 can be arrested, strip-searched, held in police stations and courts, and locked up. This doesn’t keep communities safe but causes children harm, particularly Indigenous kids, while making reoffending more likely. Read The Guardian article about the issue > HERE
