Social Justice

I believe that the government has a vital role helping vulnerable and disadvantaged people to get back on their feet and be fully participating members of the community. I will speak out in support of a “fair go” and help for those who cannot speak for themselves or have been treated unfairly.

We should make a law stating that people can only work up to a maximum of 8 hours a day. This will stop employers making people work unreasonable hours. Then they have to hire more people. If more people get a job, then less people will be vulnerable and disadvantaged. Furthermore, managers will then have to actually managed instead of being a dicatator.

To ensure people become more employable, the NSW government must makes interns out of everybody who is unemployed for two or three days a week. This will ensure their skills are up to date. The rest of the week is to retrain in university or tafe, and look for work.
