The government’s decision to not proceed with the Wattle Street site for a new 1,000 student Ultimo primary school in is a major disappointment. While the government claims remediation costs are too high, they negotiated a lower price to cover these costs. Now it looks like a smaller school on the current site will go ahead, despite community opposition.  My media release calling on the government to take responsibility for education HERE. and the Sydney Morning Herald report HERE.
