In Parliament I raised concerns about the Service Support Fund for de-funded women’s refuges and called on the the Government to continue to provide care to homeless women with mental health or substance issues and those who are victims of sexual assault.

While she has allocated new funds for transition, the refuges must hand back government-owned properties and keep running while they wait to find out if they are funded through a further tender process. Refuges across the State are closing or being absorbed into larger organisations that may not have needed expertise. My question and the Minister's answer is HERE and media reports are HERE.
