There is an absence of government policy to achieve more affordable housing, particularly for the state’s poorest. Meanwhile well built, fit for purpose, high demand inner city housing is being sold off, including the iconic Sirius building. Alarmingly, the Opal Tower developer is on the shortlist to redevelop Sirius and what a disgrace it would be if it were replaced with another defects ridden apartment block.
