Alex's Update Issue 56

Alex's Update Issue 56

Season's Greetings and Year in Review

Good afternoon

Last week, I joined the annual prize giving at Glenmore Road Public School, attended the City of Sydney Traffic Committee, and visited Sydney Fire Station – among many other activities. Christmas lunches with the Salvation Army Streetlevel mission and Surry Hills Neighbourhood Centre are important reminders about supporting the great diversity within the Sydney community.

After just over a year since being elected, there are some significant achievements, with more challenges ahead. I’ve enjoyed spending much time meeting with local groups and individual constituents as well as speaking at events, and will continue to work on individual constituents’ concerns with NSW Government agencies. My Year in Review 2013 video and summary are available HERE.

Thanks to the thousands of people who completed my survey about community needs and concerns, which we’re now collating and will report back early next year. This will help guide my work as member for Sydney in 2014. If you haven't yet completed the survey, you can do so HERE.

This is my last update for the year and I wish you and your family all the best for the festive season,

Alex Greenwich MP
Independent Member for Sydney
