Animal Welfare & Northcott Pet Day

Animal Welfare & Northcott Pet Day

Thanks to the animal welfare supporters who came to Parliament when I introduced my bill to give sponsored Trap, Neuter and Return (TNR) programs legal certainty. TNR involves desexing animals in a specific group or colony of unowned stray animals and returning them to where they were found where they stop breeding, allowing the population to stabilise. An undesexed female cat and her offspring can produce 420,000 cats in seven years; TNR programs can help break this cycle. My introduction speech is HERE.

The Northcott Pet Day is on this Saturday 20 September at Ward Park Surry Hills. Details HERE
