I’m supporting the fundraising efforts of the Australian South Sea Islanders – Port Jackson to provide goods and funds for rebuilding Vanuatu following Cyclone Pam. Many of the South Sea Islanders ‘blackbirded’ to Australia came from these islands and this voluntary group is doing what they can to help support communities in Vanuata who have lost homes and food supplies. Nine bands are already on the playlist and the High Commissioner for Vanuatu will open the event, from 4pm Sunday 26 April at Addison Road Community Centre, 142 Addison Road Marrickville.
