Better Question Time

Better Question Time

Following successful negotiations with government and opposition, the Legislative Assembly has approved new Sessional Orders that will improve Question Time, one of the key opportunities to keep the government to account.

There will now be 16 verbal questions to ministers not 10, the speaker will be able to order answers to be ‘directly relevant’, with three minutes allowed instead of five. Crossbench MPs will now have two questions each sitting week instead of one. The Hansard report > HERE.

I will use these extra opportunities to push for government action on key concerns from constituents and the priority issues I’ve committed to progressing.

Let's work together to celebrate and protect our great city!
