Embedded Networks

Embedded Networks

Embedded networks are contracts for the supply of utilities including electricity, gas and hot and cold water by for example, bulk buying electricity from the grid to on sell for building infrastructure like hot water services. Developers often install an embedded network to get cheap utilities during construction, but the contract continues to operate long after an apartment has been built and can include conditions that lock future owners and residents into excessive prices while removing their options for renewable energy. Embedded networks are essentially monopolies at a time when climate change and the cost-of-living crisis necessitates competition and choice.

I have written to the Minister for Energy asking that she regulate embedded networks to protect consumers and promote sustainability >HERE

Let's work together to celebrate and protect our great city!
