An Enduring Power of Attorney is a legal document allowing a person (the principal) to appoint another adult person or persons (the attorney) to make financial and legal decisions on their behalf if they lose decision-making capacity in the future. While this allows you to have decisions made by someone you trust, this tool has also been used to allow elder abuse.
