Enduring Power of Attorney

Enduring Power of Attorney

An Enduring Power of Attorney is a legal document allowing a person (the principal) to appoint another adult person or persons (the attorney) to make financial and legal decisions on their behalf if they lose decision-making capacity in the future. While this allows you to have decisions made by someone you trust, this tool has also been used to allow elder abuse. There are now national proposals to update the law so that it is consistent across Australia and prevent abuse. You can comment on options until Wednesday 29 November > HERE

Let's work together to celebrate and protect our great city!
