Energy Transition

Energy Transition

The climate crisis is already having impacts, particularly in rural areas. The CSIRO and Bureau of Meteorology summarise key changes for us including increasing temperatures in all seasons, more hot days and warm spells, decreasing winter rainfall, increased intensity of extreme rainfall events, increasing time in drought, rising sea level and increased height of extreme sea-level events, plus harsher fire-weather. See the Guardian report: HERE.

I established the Parliamentary ‘Sustainability of Energy Supply and Resources in NSW Inquiry’ to provide clear directions for the government to move to renewable energy in NSW, with a planned shift to help affected communities adjust. Submissions are now online: HERE

Let's work together to celebrate and protect our great city!
