Face Masks

Face Masks

Thank you to everyone who is working so hard to stop the spread of coronavirus! Following further community transmission including in Potts Point and Surry Hills, the government is now strongly recommending face masks in circumstances where it is not possible to social distance, such as on public transport, in shops, cafés, restaurants, places of worship, pubs and clubs, as well as identified hot spots and caring for vulnerable people. Information, including how to use a face mask safely: HERE.

If you have symptoms, even if mild, get tested: HERE. If you are self-isolating after testing, follow the health advice to prevent spreading the virus: HERE.

Check The Conversation about how to choose a good mask and how to make one: HERE. You can buy single-use, surgical masks from reputable outlets including chemists, hardware stores and other shops, but dispose of them properly after use! Reusable cloth masks are less wasteful – check local businesses selling them to support the local economy. Or support organisations that give back like The Social Outfit: HERE. Clr Pauline Lockie has a list: HERE.

Let's work together to celebrate and protect our great city!
