Fish Market Plans

Fish Market Plans

19 May 2015

Media reports indicate that a proposal for a $3 billion redevelopment of Blackwattle Bay, including 32-storey apartment towers on the public foreshore at the Sydney Fish Markets will be submitted by July. While the community and Lord Mayor Clover Moore have been calling for a continuous foreshore walk for many years, I’m concerned that we’ll end up with ‘Westfield on the water’ for this constrained site, without public transport access. We’ve had no detail on housing density.

Pyrmont is already the most densely populated area in Australia, and more residential development is underway in Ultimo and Haymarket. The Herald report is HERE

Let's work together to celebrate and protect our great city!
