Despite the major review of Pyrmont peninsula planning rules underway, the government has announced three new ‘scenarios’ for Blackwattle Bay including the current fish market site. Heights of new buildings are limited only by airport flightpaths rules – up to 45 storeys along the public harbour! According to the promotional material, these include 30 per cent of the site as open green space and public access along the foreshore, but much of this is under the ANZAC Bridge. Rowing and dragon boats would remain.
