With talk of ‘development opportunities’ and another lease transfer, I reminded Parliament that the Fox Studios and Entertainment Quarter site is earmarked to return to the public at the end of the lease and must be used only for film production and ancillary purposes during the lease. This land was initially part of the much-depleted Macquarie Bequest and is needed now more than ever to help expand recreational and open space increasing inner Sydney populations. My speech is HERE.
