Government Abandons Ultimo Primary Plans

Government Abandons Ultimo Primary Plans

26 November 2014

I'm deeply concerned that the Liberal National State Government has walked away from their agreed plans to build a new primary school for 1000 students on a site at Fig and Wattle Street in Ultimo. Along with the local community and City of Sydney, we worked hard towards getting a new school for the area, yet at the 11th hour the State Government pulled out of negotiations and withdrew their plans. This comes at time when the government is splashing cash on roads and stadiums.

Along with my neighbouring MP, Jamie Parker, I have written to the Education Minister urging him to fulfill his commitments and duty to provide public education to the inner city. Our letter is HERE

Please join tonight's community meeting to plan a way forward at the Ultimo Public School Hall, Quarry St Ultimo, 6pm for a 6:30pm start.

Let's work together to celebrate and protect our great city!
