Greyhounds 2015

Thursday 3 September 2015

Last week I spoke in Parliament about the community support for greyhound racing to be banned due to the animal cruelty inherent in this ‘sport’. With about 18,000 healthy dogs destroyed each year, hundreds of injuries each race week, reports of live baiting, doping and starving dogs to increase performance, along with poor living conditions it is time for NSW Government to take action. My speech is HERE.

Greyhounds are naturally placid animals, are suitable for apartment living and don’t require much exercise. If you are looking for a companion animal you may want to consider a greyhound. More information is HERE.

Let's work together to celebrate and protect our great city!
