Happy Mardi Gras Sydney!

This year’s Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras is full of great events and opportunities to take action for Equality. Last Friday, I joined the Lord Mayor at the Sydney Town Hall Progress Pride flag raising, where she spoke about the City’s unwavering support of LGBTIQA+ people and outlined the work the City is undertaking following the LGBTIQA+ Safety Summit.

This coming Saturday, I encourage you to join me at the The Rise Memorial in Marks Park Bondi, Community sunrise service of reflection to commemorate the suffering of innocent people in our community and elsewhere, to celebrate progress towards a stronger society and to commit to vigilance against bigotry & prejudice in all its forms.
