Haymarket Clinic

Haymarket Clinic

The Haymarket Foundation supports people experiencing homelessness and other marginalised communities including those who have co-occurring mental health, alcohol and other drug issues and frequently, lifelong trauma and disability.

In a recent meeting with Haymarket I learned of their exciting plan for a new drop-in general medical practice for the heart of Sydney. The dedicated primary healthcare service in Sydney’s CBD will support people regardless of homelessness and/or immigration status, with access to GPs, mental health support, pathology and case workers to assist with specialist needs.

The centre will operate out of the lower ground floor of 505 Pitt Street, opposite Central Station. Haymarket is investing $2m+ in setting up the centre and the Christ Church St Laurence Charitable Trust > https://ccsl.org.au/ will cover rent for the 20-year lease, funded by Dr Dianne Houghton’s generous bequest > HERE.

I look forward to seeing the work and impact of this new initiative > HERE. To stay up to date with The Haymarket Foundation’s work, sign up for their newsletter > HERE.

Let's work together to celebrate and protect our great city!
