The City of Sydney proposes changes for the Haymarket precinct including more support for events and cultural celebrations, creating a precinct of lights, more trees, incentivising investment and renewal and upgrading local streets and parks. The public domain plan would improve Hay, Harbour, Sussex and Campbell streets, and revitalise Belmore Park. There is a concept design for the Dixon Street improvement project, including new lighting and restoring the Chinatown Ceremonial Gates.
