IDAHOBIT 2021

IDAHOBIT 2021

Today is the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia & Transphobia (IDAHOBIT), celebrating LGBTQIA+ people globally and raising awareness for the work still needed to combat discrimination.

It is linked to 17 May 1990 - 31 years ago – when the World Health Organization removed homosexuality from the ‘Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems’. Information: > HERE and HERE.

I joined the USA Consul General Sharon Hudson-Dean this morning to raise the Pride flag in Woollahra, and it is great that US embassies across the world will again be raising Pride flags under the current President. We have more work ahead to stop discrimination and abuse.

Let's work together to celebrate and protect our great city!
