My submission to the Independent Liquor Review calls for the 1.30am lockout to be lifted from well managed venues, live performance venues and small bars of 120 patrons or less, a legislated time that venues must cease liquor service, a new category of saturation zones to replace the current liquor freeze and renewable late night liquor licences instead of permanent licences. I also call for casino exemptions to be removed and for public transport to operate when licensed premises operate so that people can safely leave an area and get home.
