I welcome the $24 million relief package for dedicated live music venues, following my question in Parliament last Tuesday, repeated calls in the house and to ministers, and debate on the petition I sponsored with over 27,000 signatures.

Live music venues have suffered from prolonged closures and severely reduced audiences while having to hire additional staff to comply with health orders putting them at risk of going out of business when JobKeeper ends. Live music venues have contributed to Sydney’s social, cultural and economic fabric for years and I look forward to them continuing to showcase world-class and emerging talent.
