I was very sad to learn that the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Party 2022, which normally happens after the parade has had to be cancelled.

I know the team worked hard for the event to go ahead but the Omicron wave has made this largely indoor event unsafe.

In good news, Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras and Meta are offering $100,000 in grants to support hospitality venues, small businesses, and LGBTQIA+ artists and performers hold COVID-safe events for the Mardi Gras parade. Applications close 30 January > HERE.
