On behalf of the Sydney electorate, I wish to congratulate the Mature Age Gays on turning 30 years old.

MAG has been operating since 1991 and has provided invaluable peer support and resources for gay and bisexual men aged 40 and above and ensures a place for those that may feel marginalised by contemporary gay culture's emphasis on youth. MAG aims to establish a welcoming and safe environment to effectively promote the Safe Sex message and provide education on HIV and AIDS for their members through a holistic approach. MAG recognises the importance of connection and provides a range of social events, practical help, and emotional support to prevent isolation and institutionalisation. I have a long association with MAG and have attended several of MAG's events. I found MAG to be a very lively and engaged community. I support their work and contribution to the community. I thank all those associated with MAG for their outstanding commitment to community and ensuring that mature aged men have had support and information for their health and wellbeing for 30 years.
