I am a member of the Legislative Assembly Committee on Community Services and we released a report on ‘Support for new parents and babies’. We heard evidence showing health services for new parents and babies can be inconsistent and fragmented and have made a number of recommendations to improve support, many of which would reinstate the best elements of the former system. A government response is due after the election and I hope whoever is in government will implement all recommendations. The report: HERE
