Parliament returns this week for the year, with the impact of continuing bushfires front of mind. During the first half of the year, I will focus efforts on the two Parliamentary inquiries I’m chairing.

The first will examine how best to regulate engineers. This is critical to preventing defects in large apartment buildings, which have caused serious impacts on strata owners. Submissions have closed and we will hold hearings in February: HERE

The Sustainability of energy supply and resources in NSW Inquiry is looking at how to transition energy to renewables, including ways to support regional economies that rely on coal mining and coal energy production for jobs. We’re reviewing nearly 250 submissions and will hold hearings and site visits. Details: HERE.
